WATCHTOWER PROPERTY - Avon Industrial Park
Situated at the heart of the Avon District, Avon Industrial Park has been purpose developed to meet the needs of industries servicing the rural and resources markets.
Featuring 203 hectares of industrial land within a total park area of 473 hectares, the estate is located 18 kilometres east of the town of Northam and 116 kilometres east of Perth.
Its location was chosen for its ease of access and proximity to major transport routes, including the Trans-Australian rail line and Great Eastern Highway. This makes it a convenient staging point between Perth and regional areas of Western Australia.
Stage 1 featured a total of nine lots with an average size of 92,500sqm with water, electricity and telecommunications all available. All lots have now been sold.
Avon Industrial Park is currently home to Grass Valley Fabricators, an agricultural chemicals manufacturer; Bushman Tanks, manufacturers of a range of polyethylene tanks for rural and industrial uses; Interquip, which services machinery for the resources sector; Outback Power, an electrical contractor, Oztek Country Homes, APA Property Group and Swan River Kaolin, which operates a pilot plant due to begin production in the short term.
Construction of Stage 2 will finish in Spring 2008 and will provide 17 lots over 57 hectares of land.
